  4. A program that demonstrates the Macintosh’s new Speech Manager.

  6. Simple Instructions:
  7. 1. Install Speech Manager & Voices into System Folder & restart.
  8. 2. Run Speech Demo
  9. 3. Listen

  11. Advanced Use:
  12. The text spoken by Speech Demo can be customized with ResEdit by editing ‘STR ’ #128.
  13.  
  14. Known Bugs:
  15. - has absolutely NO interface
  16. - does absolutely NO error-checking.  This includes failure to check for the existence of the Speech Manager.  It may crash Macs without the software installed.

  18. THIS SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.  BY USING THE SOFTWARE THE USER ASSUMES ALL RISK.  This software has not been extensivly tested and may include “bugs.”  This software is not supported and probably will not be upgraded.

  31. Speech Demo program created with Think C 5.04.  Docs created with MacWrite Pro 1.0v4 & version 1.0 of my TeachText XTND Translator.
